Raising society members on issues related to gender discrimination in the labor market in order to strengthen the efforts of social actors in prevention and mitigation of this phenomenon and improve gender policies at the workplace.
Priority Objectives:
- To increase awareness of society's members and to promote equitable economic rights for women and men and non-discriminatory policies within the labor market;
- Influence the development and implementation of gender-sensitive policies in public life and create an integrated mechanism to promote equal opportunities for women and men, in particular, on the labor market;
- Developing partnerships and social dialogue between NGOs, trade unions, employers and public authorities in order to strengthen their institutional capacity in mainstreaming gender perspective in their work and to reduce gender discrimination in the labor market;
- Strengthening associative sector’s capacity in the field of developing policies which facilitate the implementation of the concept of gender equality in employment and optimal application of the legal framework in the field.
Priority areas and activities:
-Developing trainings on skills development within target groups (NGOs, trade unions, employers, public authorities) in the reference field: workshops, “Train the Trainers” training, conferences, meetings of the PASproGen Alliance’s members;
- Literacy and prepare society members in order to increase pro-activity, reduce the vulnerability of women and reduce discrimination in employment: national information and awareness campaigns, educational seminars, local information;
- Strengthening the network of contacts with current and potential partners on issues of common interest: third sector representatives, trade unions, employers and government;
- Develop and use information tools and educational policies and practices focused on non-discriminatory labor market: brochures, training modules, guides, newsletters;
- Multiplication and promotion of affirmative action through dissemination of results and activities in progress: TV and radio, articles in newspapers, audio and video social spots.
